Cheerful Helpers’ parent alumni Ben Decter began writing this musical over a decade ago, as a way of processing his family’s experience with their daughter’s catastrophic childhood epilepsy. The show is told through the eyes of a sibling -- a middle schooler named Jackson. In the course of this fun and sometimes irreverent musical, we learn about his family's struggle with his older sister Lucy’s epilepsy and the collateral damage this illness inflicts upon all of their lives.
The musical is part of a larger effort to help de-stigmatize epilepsy, and we hope you can be a part of this movement by joining us on December 1st! It’s an intimate theater – only 99 seats! So, get your tickets while they last for this heartwarming and memorable experience.
